Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GetCurrentOffer.com, our browser extension, or our API (collectively, “the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. Your continued use of the Service constitutes your ongoing acceptance of these Terms.

Description of Service

GetCurrentOffer is a personal finance organization tool that helps users track and manage their credit card merchant offers. The Service has two components:

• Public Offer Directory: A curated, searchable database of credit card merchant offers maintained by our editorial team from publicly available sources. This directory is provided for informational purposes only.
• Personal Offer Organizer: A browser extension that allows you to sync your own credit card offers to your private account for personal use. Your synced data is never pooled, shared, or redistributed without your explicit consent.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any card issuer.

User Accounts

Certain features of the Service require you to create an account via Google OAuth. By creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
• Agree to our Privacy Policy and these Terms of Service

Consent to Data Collection & Offer Syncing

By using the Service, you explicitly consent to the following:

• Website Usage: We collect and process usage data including search queries, page views, saved offers, and interaction data for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
• Browser Extension & Offer Syncing: If you install our browser extension and enable offer syncing, you consent to us collecting, transmitting, and storing your credit card merchant offer data from supported issuer portals. This includes merchant names, offer details, card account names, and the last four digits of card numbers. You may revoke this consent at any time by disabling syncing in your account settings.
• Cookies & Analytics: We use cookies and third-party analytics services (Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics) to understand how the Service is used. By using the website, you consent to the use of these technologies as described in our Privacy Policy.
• Data Storage: You consent to your data being stored on secure servers operated by our service providers (Supabase, Vercel) located in the United States.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by disabling offer syncing, deleting your synced data through your settings, or deleting your account entirely. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

User Data & Your Content

You retain ownership of any data you provide to the Service, including your synced offer data and saved preferences. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will not use your personal offer data for any other purpose without your explicit consent.

Your personal offer data is never automatically pooled or redistributed. If you explicitly choose to share specific offers with the community, you grant us and other users a non-exclusive license to view and use that shared offer information. Sharing is always voluntary and per-offer.

You may delete all your synced offer data at any time from your account settings or by using the data deletion API endpoint. Upon deletion, your personal offer data is permanently removed from our systems.

Permitted Use

You may access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. Under this license you may not:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content without authorized API access
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer any software on the website or extension
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the materials
• Redistribute, sell, or sublicense any content from the Service
• Use the Service to collect data about other users without their consent
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service or its security measures

Browser Extension Terms

The GetCurrentOffer browser extension is subject to additional terms:

• The extension accesses your credit card issuer portals only when you are logged in and only to read merchant offer data. It does not modify any data on issuer websites.
• The extension does not collect passwords, financial account details, transaction history, or any data beyond merchant offer information.
• You are responsible for ensuring your use of the extension complies with the terms of service of your card issuer(s).
• The extension syncs data only when you explicitly trigger a sync or have enabled automatic syncing in your settings.

API Terms

Access to the GetCurrentOffer API is subject to rate limits and usage tiers as described on our Pricing page and our API Terms of Service. API keys are personal and non-transferable. Abuse of the API, including exceeding rate limits or using automated systems to circumvent restrictions, may result in suspension or termination of access.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user-submitted data and third-party offer data) are the property of GetCurrentOffer and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Offer data displayed on the Service remains the property of the respective card issuers.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Offer information is accurate, complete, or current
• Any particular offer will be available or honored by the issuer
• Synced offer data will always be accurate or up-to-date

Always verify offer details directly with the card issuer before making purchasing decisions based on information from the Service.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall GetCurrentOffer, its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, missed offers, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GetCurrentOffer and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

Third-Party Links & Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, including card issuer portals and affiliate links. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of these external sites. Accessing third-party links is at your own risk. Some links may be affiliate links; we may earn a commission if you make a purchase through them, at no additional cost to you.

Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, or for any other reason at our discretion. You may also delete your account at any time. Upon account termination:

• All synced offer data will be permanently deleted
• Saved offers and preferences will be removed
• API keys will be revoked
• Analytics data will be anonymized or deleted per our retention policy

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will provide notice via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in California.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
